Oxygen is much more than the most abundant chemical element on Earth, by mass, in the biosphere, air, sea, and land.
Abundant in the universe, it is extremely important for living beings since it is fundamental for cellular respiration.
Oxygen was then the source of inspiration for the creation of a brand that wants to be vibrant, dynamic, relevant, and a key element in the safety, comfort, and well-being of everyone who comes across it and enjoys it.
Efficient technical-scientific solution
The OXYS® Clean Air brand project emerged within the scope of a consortium led by Veneporte with the participation of the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Coimbra and ADAI (Association for the Development of Industrial Aerodynamics) which allowed the development of a range of equipment that uses the most advanced and efficient technology to eliminate bacteria and viruses present in the air of indoor spaces, thus making it safer and free from infectious agents.
Its high performance was tested by a multidisciplinary research team with expertise in microbiology, mechanical and electrical engineering with the aim of determining the performance of the units in reducing the concentration of contaminating particles (including Covid-19) in the air.
The figure presented shows an image corresponding to an enlargement of the graph of the temporal evolution of concentrations.
The decay phase of the contaminant concentration started after 33 minutes when the equipment is activated.
The results showed that after 7 minutes there was a reduction to 10% of the initial value and after 15 minutes a reduction to less than 1% of the initial value, that is, an efficiency rate of 99,99% in eliminating viral load present in the tested space, thus demonstrating the effectiveness of the technology used in OXYS® Clean Air equipment to eradicate all traces of the virus.
